Employees who are Not Benefit Eligible are not eligible for an employer match or subject to auto-enrollment. See Not Benefit Eligible Employees tab for more information.
Benefit-eligible lay employees hired, rehired or changing to benefit-eligible at locations participating in the RCAB 401(k) Plan are automatically enrolled in the 401(k) Plan with a 4% pre-tax deferral if no election is made within 45 days from the date of hire, rehire date or date of change to benefit-eligible. You can start, stop or change your contribution rate or automatic escalation at any time by logging in to rcab.voya.com, the Voya Retire app, or by phone at 855-817-1664. More information on changing your contributions is included in the Important Plan Information and Default Investment Notice.
Your contributions
You may elect to contribute up to 100% of your eligible wages, which election can be in dollars or percentages of compensation, on a pre-tax and/or Roth after-tax basis, up to the annual IRS limit. Your contributions are automatically deducted from your paycheck, and you can change your contribution rate at any time by logging in to rcab.voya.com. If you attain age 50 during the calendar year, the Plan allows you to contribute an additional catch-up contribution over and above the normal IRS limit. You do not need to make a separate catch-up contribution election. Once you reach the IRS limit, your contributions will automatically become classified as catch-up contributions.
Employer matching contributions
After one year of benefit-eligible service, in which you were credited with at least 1,000 hours of service, your employer will match 100% of the first 3% of eligible wages contributed, plus 50% of the next 2% of eligible wages contributed. If you contribute 5% of eligible wages or more to the Plan, you will receive a total of 4% in employer matching contributions. (Note: 4% is the maximum employer contribution). If you are a lay employee who is not benefit eligible, you are not eligible for the employer match.
Vesting
You are immediately 100% vested in your own contributions and investment earnings as well as in your employer matching contributions, which means that you fully own and control the money.
Automatic Enrollment
Benefit Eligible lay employees who are hired, rehired or changed to benefit-eligible status will be automatically enrolled with a 4% pre-tax contribution, effective with the first available pay date on or after 45 days following the location date of hire, rehire date or effective date of change to benefit-eligible status. See the Automatic Enrollment and Automatic Escalation Flyer and Automatic Enrollment Notice for more information.
Automatic Escalation
Benefit Eligible lay employees will be automatically escalated annually by 1% each year until 5% is reached. This does not impact participants who contribute a flat dollar amount to the Plan or who have declined participation in the 401(k) Plan. Participants will be notified prior to the change taking effect and can opt out by logging into their Voya account at rcab.voya.com.
If you previously worked for another employer in the Plan
If you transfer between participating locations, your account balance, beneficiary information, and any applicable loan balance and deductions will automatically transfer to your new Plan account. Your elected 401(k) contribution amounts do not automatically transfer to your new Plan account. You will need to log in to your Voya online account at rcab.voya.com or call Voya at 855-817-1664 to set up your 401(k) contribution amount at the new location. You can use your existing Personal Identification Number (PIN) to access your Plan account by phone and your existing username and password credentials to access your account online.
If you work for multiple employers in the Plan
If you work for multiple employers in the Plan, you will maintain separate account balances, including contribution rates, investment elections, and beneficiaries for each employer.
